Bits & bobs
Lots of clutter around the house leaves less room for socialising and creates an unsettled atmosphere. You want your guests to feel relaxed and at home, so move those unnecessary things out of the home, no-one wants to see life admin littered around the house.
Out of sight, out of mind
If your guests are only going to see certain areas of your home, make sure they are the areas you clean, rather than doing the house from top to bottom. It will save you precious time and energy.
Adding scented candles to your home will give it a homely atmosphere as well as making your home smell amazing. Be sure to make sure the bins have been taken out, so there’s no nasty lingering smells that could frighten your guests away.
Clean bed sheets are an absolute must when it comes to guests. Whilst they don’t need to be brand new, ensure they are stain-free and freshly washed.
If it’s broken, fix it
Everyone has those little diy jobs they just haven’t got round too yet, like a broken handle on toilet seat, and chances are you probably no longer notice them. However your guests will, so get them fixed pronto!
Scrub the tub!
A clean bathroom is essential, but buying a new bath mat and toiletries is a low cost way to make the bathroom a lot fresher.
