Anne Frank + You exhibition at New Walk Museum

The Anne Frank Trust UK have brought the touring exhibition Anne Frank + You to Leicester’s New Walk Museum, which is on until 31st January 2018.

The exhibition looks at the life of Anne Frank and her family amongst the rise of the Nazis in WWII.

Taking topics from Anne’s diary such as racial hatred and the value freedom, the exhibition creates a journey of self-exploration for visitors. Within the exhibition you can see personal photos of Anne and sister Margot, replica artifacts from Anne’s life & the Holocaust, as well as a near-life size replica of Anne’s bedroom in the secret annexe.

The exhibition also presents contemporary issues such as racism in football, gang violence in the UK and Malala Yousafzai’s campaign for the education of girls around the world. There is a variety of powerful imagery reflecting the social issues affecting modern Britain. The exhibition strives to bring the voice of Anne Frank into a modern day world to provide a platform for open dialogue on issues of prejudice and discrimination within our society today.

The exhibition is recommended for adults and young people aged 10 and over, with a focus on fact-finding, reflection and self-exploration. It’s not to be missed!

Opening times are Monday - Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 11:00-17:00. For more information, visit www.annefrank.org.uk
