Queen Victoria Arts Club Reigns Supreme With Trio Of Society Showcase Launch Events
Over 500 esteemed guests from the local business, political, media and creative communities flocked to these invitation-only events – created by Fraser Urquhart Media - which gave a first-glimpse opportunity ahead of the public launch on 18th October. High profile guests included Narinder Kaur from Big Brother and BBC Radio, Chris Stafford of Curve Theatre and, of course, City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, in his personal capacity of father to owner, Cassie Soulsby.
Set over two floors (ground and basement), Queen Victoria Arts Club is a premier league restaurant and bar that’s on a mission to offer premier league service and standards.
Commenting, owner Cassie Soulsby says; “Leicester feels ready for a venue such as the Queen Victoria Arts Club. With a premier league sports team and the King in the carpark, it is time the city had a Queen it can be proud of – and we hope the Queen Victoria Arts Club will fill that role”.
The stunning venue, which presides over Orton Square in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, has benefited from a £650,000 renovation making it one of the city’s most luxurious – and state of the art – venues.
The site itself, which was built for Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, has seen quite a dramatic transformation, having been derelict for many years, and Cassie, who also owns and operates The Exchange Bar, and her team worked hard on the design of the restaurant which is on the ground and lower floors, to help it stay in keeping with the style and décor of the period.
“Our emphasis will be on exceptional service and high-quality food. This is going to be an accessible restaurant. I have a background in working in Michelin star and Rosette establishments, so it’s bringing all of that experience to the front of house service, while also making it more comfortable for diners,” added Cassie.
As well as an 80-cover restaurant and bar that is open to the public seven days a week from 18th October, Queen Victoria Arts Club will be the first luxury Members’ Club in the city, offering London-style member-only services, privileges and dining/drinking areas – including the stunning, late-licence basement lounge. Memberships are being pre-sold now ahead of their official 2019 release, due to unprecedented demand.
“This is a huge investment for me, but it is something I feel passionate about and it will be a great addition to the Cultural Quarter and to Leicestershire too,” she added.
