Leicester Mercury Business Awards 2018: Finalists!

After weeks of research & deliberation, the judges have finally picked their finalists for each of the 14 categories in this year’s Leicester Mercury Business Awards. One award is ‘Start-Up Business of the Year’, and the three finalists are Hortons, Hypermotive, & Obsidian Tax.
“We are very excited to have been chosen as a finalist, having launched just over 12 months ago”, says Adam Horton, founder and director of Hortons Estate Agents. “It’s great to see so many local businesses have their achievements recognised, it really shows what a thriving business community Leicester has”.
Other local businesses that are finalists include Edward Cooper Young Chartered Surveyors, who are contenders in both ‘Employer of the Year’ and ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year’ categories. This independent firm pride themselves on being independent, professional and experienced, having advised on over 750 projects in the last eight years.
Fashion UK established in 1999, are also a contender in two categories. With the managing director Gurdev Mattu, a finalist in the ‘Business Entrepreneur of the Year’ category.
This year’s black tie awards evening takes place at the Maher Centre, in Ravensbridge Drive, Leicester, and will be attended by the finalists, sponsors and many members of Leicester’s business community.
