Celebrate St George's Day in Orton Square Leicester!

St George’s Day is known as England’s national day and is held on the anniversary of his death- which was 23rd April 303 AD. On Saturday 21st April, Leicester’s annual family friendly festival will keep Orton Square as its central point for music, dancing and live performances, & nearby venues will also participate including LCB Depot, Curve, Leicester Print workshop and Two Queens Gallery.

There are many exciting activities taking place throughout the day for everyone to enjoy. One of these being the Dragon Trail! Using the special map designed, be guided to different locations to find the hidden dragons. Once all the dragons names have been collected, take your sheet to the Information Point on Orton Square, where you will be entered into the prize draw. The prize draw will take place at 2:50pm.

There is also a themed beer and gin festivals for the adults, as well as live folk entertainment. So there really is something for everyone.

Fancy a sing along? The Ale Wagon is a traditional English pub offering fine real ales. Always a popular way of rounding off a fun day with rousing singing and great musicians, bring an instrument or just join in with the singing and merriment.
