Leicester’s Phoenix cinema and art centre is screening the biggest new family movies for just £6 per person this summer, and hosting free drop-in creative technology workshops for children every Thursday.

There’s more dinosaur action in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (Fri 13 – Thu 26 Jul), and everyone’s favourite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2 (Fri 27 Jul – Thu 9 Aug).

In August, Ewan McGregor stars in Disney’s Christopher Robin and we join another monster family in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (dates to be confirmed).

Family film tickets cost just £6 per person, with added popcorn and a drink for an extra £1.50. Family tickets are valid for all children and up to 2 adults in any one group.

Free workshops take place every Thursday afternoon between 19 July and 30 August for children to get creative with the latest technology – creating their own GIFs, making electrical circuits out of play dough, and music from shapes and sounds around them.

A freshly-cooked ‘pick & mix’ children’s menu is on offer in the Café Bar, and there’s a Kids Corner with games and colouring in.

Phoenix will also be giving away family cinema tickets every week in competitions on its Facebook page @PhoenixLeic
